In support of our coastal project permitting activities, underwater
structural inspection of bridge sub- structures and QA/QC diving services,
Drake Associates provides accurate fathometric surveys of areas of tidal
and inland water bodies. Three Drake Associates boats are capable of performing
fathometric surveys. We employ the Ocean Data Bathy-500 -acoustic fathometers
to record run-continuous sounding data. Lateral control is established
by standard land surveying techniques, total station instrumentation and
long range vertical sighting lasers. Collected fathometric data is referenced
to an established/local vertical datum. Fathometric survey data is presented
in AutoCAD format drawings in simple plan, contour plan and cross sections.
All standard drawing sizes and scales can be produced in-house.
